Dear Mr. and Mrs. Morgenstern,

I got back from slichos late last night and opened the files you had sent me. I started to read the letters just to make sure the files came through. I was very tired and I really wanted to go to sleep. I planned on reading them today. I couldn’t stop reading. I cried a lot. I cried tears of admiration for a girl, for a person who I never met, but a person who I wanted to emulate. I read the letter from Randy Sharp and I wondered if I would ever be able to make such a Kiddush Hashem.

The truth is that I had already written the part of the speech dedicating the lecture to Nancy. Today I hope to rewrite the speech. I think the lesson she taught is so crucially important in our day and age.

With much respect and admiration,
Rabbi Micah Shotkin
