Dear Hatzalah Ramat Bet Shemesh,

We would like to thank you for the quick and efficient help that we received from you.

On January 4, 2004, at 7:00 a.m., my wife was feeling contractions and called me to come home from shul. Assuming we would have plenty of time to get to the hospital, I called a cab, since we don't have a car. We left the house at 7:12 a.m. for the hospital in Jerusalem. Suddenly, my wife felt very strong contractions and felt as if she was about to give birth. We were still in Ramat Bet Shemesh and we told the cab driver to stop. I called 101 (the ambulance). My wife then told me that her water broke and she was giving birth! Under tremendous pressure I started to prepare myself for delivery! Thank G-d, that minute the Ramat Bet Shemesh ambulance arrived along with two paramedics. They took over and delivered our new baby boy! What a relief! They then took my wife, our healthy new baby and myself in the ambulance to Shaarey Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

We feel so thankful and full of admiration for the volunteers of Hatzalah Ramat Bet Shemesh, who came so quickly and performed in a truly professional manner in order to save the life of our newborn.
