Thank you for sending me the beautiful memorial book for Nancy (AH). Like many I too read the book from cover to cover when I received it. At times it made me cry but it also made me laugh as I remembered all the fun times I had with your daughter.Nancy and I met on the Upper West Side sometime after I had moved to the City in 1993. I think Elana Schwartz may have introduced us. We became friendly and spent lots of time jogging or biking in Central Park. Thank you for sending me the beautiful memorial book for Nancy (AH). Like many I too read the book from cover to cover when I received it. I think Elana Schwartz may have introduced us. We became friendly and spent lots of time jogging or biking in Central Park. In fact here's a piece of the puzzle that you may not have had -- I was the one who introduced Nancy to biking! I had received a bike in law school and schlepped it to the City with me determined to stay in shape. The first time Nancy and I rode together she had to borrow a bike from some guy in her building. Needless to say the frame was way too big for her but she took it all in stride. Over time I lost interest in biking (after all I was only a casual biker-- once or twice around the park and I was ready to call it quits) and Nancy went on to become this biking superstar! In addition to biking together Nancy also introduced me to one of her friends at Cantor Samantha Fahey who later became my roommate for a year. Your daughter and I had some really good times together either partying in New York or in West Palm Beach where she was able to swing an expense-paid hotel stay at the Four Seasons for the two of us. I think of Nancy a lot. As I flip through my rolodex in my office on an almost daily basis I often come across her card. I can't bear to take it out. For me as long as I keep that card in the rolodex Nancy will always be with us.I think it is wonderful what you are doing to perpetuate her memory through good works but I can tell you that it would be impossible for anyone who met Nancy to ever forget her. She was just that kind of person that leaves her mark on you forever.FondlyTali... Collapse
