As an up and coming racer in New York, I attended the Pack Rides in Central Park. It was tough and my friend Eric and I were regularly dropped from the main group the first few weeks before attaining the speed necessary to keep up. In these weeks, Nancy was with us in the laughing group and was a hearty contributor to the chuckles. Eventually, we could all keep up and I† regularly talked to her at races in NYC. I would just like to say that, though we were the worst of our group, we all rode on in the dark, cajoling each other, forgotten by those who could stay with the group, chuckling the whole time.
